Drabsmanden i Dallas har fået et ansigt. Han heder Micha Johnson, er 25 år, og har en fortid i hæren. Johnsen blev dræbt af en robot i morgentimene fredag. Han rakk at fortælle politiet at han riktig gerne ville dræbe så mange hvide politifolk som mulig.

Han rakk at skyde 11 og fem døde. Hvorvidt der var flere med på udåden, vides ikke.

Johnsen sa han var inspireret af black lives matter. Spørgsmålet er om black lives matter fører et sprog som kan inspirere til drab på politifolk. Også USAs president engasjerer sig på en måde som kan gi nogle en forestilling om at selvtægt er svaret. Obama taler til sortes følelse av uretfærdighed og manglende respekt. Han ved godt at de sortes bevægelse har haft et voldelig element.

Politichef Brown:

Speaking at a press conference, Brown said: “The suspect said he was upset about Blacklivesmatter. He said he was upset about the recent police shootings. The suspect said he was upset at white people.

“The suspect said he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers. The suspect said we will eventually find the IEDs. The suspect said he was not affiliated with any groups, and the suspect said that he did this alone.”

Though police said the gunman professed to be acting alone, three suspects are in custody.

Johnson boede sammen med sin mor. Naboene mærket ikke noget. Han havde mange våben hjemme efter sin tid i hæren.

The US Army has revealed that Johnson served in the army from March 2009 to April 2015 as an army reserve. He did one tour of duty in Afghanistan where he was deployed in November 2013 and returned in July 2014.

He was a private first class and from Mesquite, Texas. His military occupational specialty was carpentry and masonry.

Neighbours in Johnson’s middle class Dallas suburb told reporters he owned several guns and lived with his mother.

“He was military, I’m not sure if he was still in, so he owned a lot of guns,” the female neighbour told The Telegraph. “But he seemed a calm, normal guy. There was never any problem.

“He was protective. He’d ask me if I was OK when I was on my own. When we were out we’d watch each other’s houses. He always said Hi.

“I never saw outside with a gun. He did a lot of walking, exercise, around the neighbourhood.” Johnson lived with his mother in a two storey detached brick home with a small front garden in a quiet middle class suburb of Dallas. The neighbour said he had lived there since he was a child. A white neighbour said the area used to be predominantly white but black and Mexican families had moved in. But he said: “It’s always been peaceful here.”
